I was thrilled when this first arrived, I ordered a few of them. The color was so beautiful and the size just right. I wore it as a lip ring. Unfortunately in less than a week the pink started to "flake" off and eventually I ended up with just a silver colored ring. What a disappointment. They were cheap enough I was tempted to order more just for the temporary color, but decided that I will keep looking for something that will actually stay the color it was intended.

So when I got this item, I liked it a lot. I immediately started wearing it and similar ones in all 3 of my piercings. It's about 3 months later now, and my relatively new piercing (1 year old) got really infected and I was told to take out the earring and put in something that's not colored. I took it out and realized the earring had turned black and brown where it was in my ear. My ear immediately started feeling better with a plain earring, so it must have been irritating it. Then I decided to take out the other 2 earrings from my piercings (3 year old piercings, not infected) just to check and they had done the same thing and a really nasty layer of crap had formed on the earring where it was in my ear, like an oyster making a pearl around a grain of sand. These earrings are pretty and affordable, but I guess they don't agree with everyone.
